What do you translate?

Mostly romantasy and romance novels for indie authors – full books, series, and novellas. We also translate the supporting marketing copy: blurbs, Amazon DE product pages, BookFunnel landings, newsletter sequences. Outside fiction, we take on a small number of non-fiction projects each year. We don't do certified or legal translation.

Question 2

Which languages do you work in?

Accepted Answer

English into German, exclusively. That's the only language pair we work in, and we don't plan to add others – depth beats range.

Question 3

Can you keep series consistency across multiple books?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In week one of any series project we build a glossary – character names, place names, magic systems, in-world terms, honorifics, key recurring phrases – and lock it. Every subsequent book in the arc uses the same glossary. Book three reads like book one.

Question 4

How do you handle explicit or "spicy" scenes?

Accepted Answer

We translate them faithfully, at whatever heat level you wrote. We've done sweet-and-clean, slow-burn, open-door, and very explicit. The German register choices matter – formal vs. informal address, clinical vs. evocative vocabulary, pacing – and we calibrate to match your voice. Tell us your heat level in the brief; we'll match it.

Do you also translate blurbs, Amazon DE pages, and marketing copy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We translate the full marketing stack for a German launch – blurbs, A+ content, BookFunnel pages, lead-magnet copy, newsletter sequences. This is its own skill: a literal translation of an English blurb often doesn't convert on Amazon DE, so we transcreate rather than translate word-for-word.

Will you do a sample translation first?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We'll translate up to 500 words of your manuscript free of charge, using the same workflow and the same translator who'd handle the full book. It lets you check our voice match before signing a quote.
